What We Do
At Detmer Metals, we specialize in custom sheet metal shaping, race car fabrication, and tooling built to perform. You might be restoring a rare sports car, building a custom roadster, or looking for dependable bike repair equipment that travels with you. In all cases, you're in the right place.
With over 30 years in the industry and a track record that includes NASCAR Cup wins, NHRA Pro Stock championships, Bonneville land speed records, and award-winning coachbuilt vehicles, our work supports some of the fastest and most celebrated machines on the road.
NEW: Track Rack
The Track Rack™ was born at the mountain bike track, where every second counts and a field repair can make or break the ride. Damon Detmer needed a better solution to support his son’s racing, so he built the first prototype. Be one of the first to own this game-changing bike rack.

About Detmer Metals
Damon Detmer started fabricating in 1992 at Vintage Air, then built high-end hot rods and eventually transitioned into NASCAR, where he worked for nearly two decades. There, he fine-tuned his skills in aero development and precision shaping under extreme deadlines.
In 2013, Damon began focusing on coachbuilding, bringing race car discipline to the art of custom fabrication. His deep knowledge, hands-on approach, and love of motorsports set Detmer Metals apart.
